Footwear major Bata India has appointed Gunjan Shah as its new Chief Executive Officer. He will be at the helm of the brand’s operations in India. He will be joining Bata in June 2021 and will be based out of Gurugram.
He will succeed Sandeep Kataria who was elevated as the Global CEO of Bata Brands.

Prior to joining Bata India, Gunjan was the Chief Commercial Officer at Britannia Industries.

He was with Britannia for over 13 years and has moved up the rank starting as a regional sales manager.

In 2015, he was appointed as the head of the international business arm of Britannia.

Early stages of his career, he was working with brands such as Asian Paints and Motorola before moving on to Britannia in 2007.

Gunjan holds a Bachelor of Technology (Computers) from VJTI, Mumbai and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata.
