India on Monday morning recorded a slight dip in COVID-19 cases, with the single day case tally falling below the 4 lakh mark after several days. At the same time, the death toll dropped slightly to 3,754 in the last 24 hours. As per Health Ministry data, over 3.53 lakh people were discharged at the same time.
Since a week, India has been reporting cases above the range of three lakh on a daily basis which has made the country officially highly affected by the second wave of COVID-19. At present there are 37,45,237 active cases of COVID-19 in the country.
The country also witnessed as many as 3,53,818 recoveries taking the cumulative recoveries to 1,86,71,222. Meanwhile, the total doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered stand at over 17,01,76,603, informed the health ministry.
