‘I swear on Balasaheb Thackeray and my two daughters’: Anil Parab denies extortion charge in Sachin Vaze’s letter to NIA

In a letter suspended Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze attempted to submit before the special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court on Wednesday, he made grave corruption allegations against former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, state transport minister Anil Parab and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

Parab, a Shiv Sena leader, denied Vaze’s claims and said he was ready to face any probe into the allegations.
He also said that BJP is behind Vaze’s letter and they are trying to defame Maharashtra ministers.

“For the last 2 days, BJP workers were saying Anil Parab’s name will surface & he’ll have to resign. How did they know Sachin Waze will give a letter? It’s clear that there’s a plan of defaming Maharashtra Ministers,” the state transport minister said.

“By targeting me, a close aide of the chief minister, they think they can put the government in trouble. BJP leaders have been saying for the last two days that another wicket will fall. This conspiracy was being hatched that time as they knew Vaze will give such a letter,” Parab said.

Parab added, “Why didn’t Sachin Waze talk about it earlier? He didn’t mention Anil Parab earlier. Suddenly, he writes a letter. It means that he has been made to do all this, to defame the govt. I’m ready for any kind of inquiry. I’m even ready for narco test.”

Earlier, Vaze, who is being probed by the NIA in the Antilia bomb scare – Mansukh Hiran murder cases was produced by the agency for further custody when he attempted to submit this letter. The court however told him to follow due process and did not accept it.
