Maharashtra COVID-19 surge: No lockdown for now; govt to introduce stringent curbs till April 30


Amid a massive rise in COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government will not be implementing a lockdown in the state for now, sources told The Free Press Journal.

The government has decided to implement stringent curbs till April 30.

The Cabinet will review the situation again on April 15.
