YS Kudale, an assistant inspector from Panvel Taluka police station said, “Following a complaint registered by the survivor’s parents we picked up the boy. We booked him under sections 376 (punishment for rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.”
The accused was produced before the Juvenile Court on Friday afternoon and was later sent to a remand home.
