Two morning walkers injured in bear attack | Nagpur News – Times of India

Chandrapur: A bear attacked two morning walkers near Mana Tekdi on the outskirts of the city on Friday. Both the injured, Sunil Lengure and Mahesh Gudettiwwar, have been admitted to Chandrapur GMCH.
Honorary wildlife warden Bandu Dhotre claimed that the prosopis jungle growing over WCL is proving to be an ideal hideout for wildlife close to the city. He demanded that WCL should clear the shrubby plantation from the overburdens of Mana Tekdi, where hundreds of people go for morning walk.
Dhotre claimed that earlier, three leopards were captured from same artificial forest of thorny shrubs over Mana Tekdi in 2013. He urged the forest department to ensure clearing of the shrubby forest.
